Flowers for a Christmas wedding
Tis the season for a Christmas Wedding. Here are my top tips when it comes to flowers and styling your Christmassy day:
Just because it’s Christmas…
Just because it’s Christmas doesn’t necessarily mean you need to lean in to the Christmas theme entirely when it comes to your flowers. As a florist, it sometimes seems like couples feel like they HAVE to have a red, white a green theme just because those are the Christmas colours. However, there are so many ways you can embrace the time of year using other wintery colours.
Here are some of my ‘non red and white’ colour themes for Christmas
Red and Pink - a slightly different, and a little more edgy version of Red and White. Clashing red and pink to me is a sign of a couple who are not afraid of embracing colour. It is the epitome of luxury and adds a real warmth to your wedding decor
2. Midnight sky - a darker colour palette whilst still keeping things bright is how I’d describe a midnight sky look. Blue delphiniums mixed with deep purple phlox and pop of yellow craspedia.
3. Berry Red and Creamy neutrals - yes, that does sound like Red and White but I promise this is completely different. Instead of those traffic light red flowers, opt for a deep berry and soften it with a neutral cream or sand colour. This gives a really classy look and totally elevates your floral arrangements. Add some dark burgundy and some gold candlestick holders and now we’re really talking.
